We're back with another review of a local brand, Sunshine energy drink. Sunshine was created in Winston-Salem, NC. Sunshine is branded as "the energy drink for the rest of us" with good energy that "rehydrates, reenergizes and replenishes the body and soul".
We were very excited to give Sunshine a try, we've been following them on Instagram for a while and they have hands-down the best dog pics (that's really why we started following them in the first place!)
We bought ours at Food Lion, and the first thing you notice is how different the Sunshine cans are than every other energy drink. They have a bright and fun look that truly embodies "the energy drink for the rest of us".
We decided to go with Clementine Twist, which boasts 200% of daily vitamin C. There are no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners, there are only 60 calories and 50 mg of organic caffeine.
The taste is perfect. Sunshine does not have the super acidic taste of most energy drinks and really has a light citrus taste. The drink is really delicious and unique, it does not taste like any drink I've ever had, in a good way! The energy Sunshine provided is definitely meant for "the rest of us", it does not leave you jumping off the walls, but gives you the nice calm energy you need to power through your day.
